BLP was once again tasked with generating assets for CBS’s Big Bother. I worked with Harrison Lee to support the Big Brother team with the creation of timers, transitions, lower thirds, scoreboards and title cards for the technological themes of season 26. This sizzle reel contains features the graphics that I made in After Effects and Blender, including a few that were requested but didn’t make it on air.
One of my specific contributions was adding life to the v-tuber like characters that inhabited the vertical screens around the Big Brother House. Big Brother provided us with clips of the performance-captured characters and tasked us with reformatting for full-screen or widescreen, and modifying the action to fit their story beats. The diabolical AINSLEY required glitches and transformations for her surprise appearances, while Jankie needed to be updated with lip sync for his sing along, in addition to making his character bob and dance to the music. Both characters had unique death and rebirth moments that needed re-timing and compositing with glitches, ghosting and sparks.
In order to give the Big Brother team as much freedom as possible for their tight weekly turn-arounds, multiple versions of game titles would be created to give the editors options. I made these three titles for the final series of games.
